This was a pretty exciting day. Little T sat up by herself for the first time. At the beginning of our visits, we were asked to work with her on her sitting. So every day, we sat her on the blanket and gave her some toys. She balanced herself by putting her arms out to her sides like she was getting ready to take off. She crawls no problem. When she gets tired from crawling, she leans to her side looking like the next step should be pushing herself up to a sitting position, but she never actually did it. Today, she decided she could do it. She was crawling, took a break and then just pushed herself right up. We all started clapping and cheering. We were so excited. Unfortunately, we scared her and then she toppled over. It was a brief moment of glory. But nonetheless exciting. Her progress since we arrived has really been great. Now, if we could just get a few more smiles out of her....
We really didn't have anything to exciting planned for our afternoon. I still have this stinking cold and was not up to shopping or walking around. We were soo close to making it home without either one of us getting sick. Oh well. Keith's big excitement was he got a haircut. I think it came out really nice considering there aren't too many curly haired fellows over here.
